| Our practice nurses plan
and run their own chronic disease clinics, namely asthma,
diabetes and cardio-vascular. They also run adult immunization
and general nursing clinics, and assist in jointly run clinics
with the doctors. Appointments are made by the receptionists
to see patients at the surgery.
Carol Eaton-Davies SRN
Carol gained her state registration at the Carmarthenshire
NHS Trust in 1981. and joined the practice as a practice nurse
in 1988. She has a diploma in the care of cardiovascular disease,
asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and a nursing
certificate in the care of diabetes.
Siân Jones RGN. RM
Sian gained her registration at the South Glamorgan School
of Nursing in 1985 and her registration as a midwife in 1995
and joined the practice as a practice nurse in 1996. She has
subsequently gained a diploma in cardiovascular and respiratory
care and a compliance programme in asthma and attended the
diploma course in diabetes.
Karen Marshall RGN
Karen gained her registration at the South Glamorgan School
of Nursing in 1987 and joined the practice as a practice nurse
in 1999. She has subsequently gained a diploma in cardiovascular
and respiratory care and a certificate in the delivery of
primary health care in the community.
Menna Dyer SEN
Menna is a State Enrolled Nurse, who before joining the
practice in March 2004, was employed by the Carmarthenshire
NHS Trust.
Menna worked in the Accident and Emergency Department of
Prince Philip Hospital from 1982. The practice will greatly
benefit from the wide range of nursing experience Menna has
gained in secondary care. |
