The Practice would be grateful
if all home visits are requested, if possible, before 10 am
if possible, as this will allow the doctor to plan his or
her daily calls, although we realise this is not always possible.
The doctor’s time is very limited, four or five people
can be seen in the surgery for every single home visit.
Urgent requests for advice or home visits outside normal
surgery times are obtained by contacting either Penygroes
surgery or Crosshands Health Centre by telephone. A recorded
message will give the doctors answering service telephone
number who will advise you and pass the information on to
the doctor on duty for our locality.
Requests for an urgent house call during surgery time will
be put through to the doctor. The patient’s condition
will be assessed and if necessary and ambulance will be sent
to the patient’s address immediately.
All cardiac chest pain should now request an ambulance
as the first choice of care.
