Antenatal and Postnatal Clinics
The doctor and midwife will see antenatal and post natal
patients every week at both surgeries:

Well Person Clinic
Well Person clinics are held at both surgeries by making
an appointment with the doctor, practice nurse or nurse practitioner.
Females:
You may be requested to attend by a letter from the surgery
or a computerized card from the Dyfed Powys Health Authority.
Services include:
Cervical smear
Breast examination
Blood pressure checks
Urine tests and family planning
General examination and advice

Child Immunization Clinic
The doctor and practice nurse will see patients every week
at both surgeries by appointment. You may also be requested
to visit by a letter from the practice or a computer card
from the Community Health Clinic.
Adult Immunization Clinic
Immunization clinics for adults are held at both surgeries
by the practice nurse. Please contact the receptionist if
you need to make an appointment.
Travel Immunization Clinic
Immunization clinics for travellers are held at both surgeries
by the practice nurse. The practice nurse keeps in daily contact
with the most up to date advice on travel immunization and
will see patients at the clinic or at times which are convenient.
Minor Surgical Clinic
Minor surgical lists are prepared by the doctor, and surgical
procedures are performed at the surgery by the doctor and
assisted by the practice nurse. You will be given a pre-arranged
clinic appointment by the nurse or doctor.
Nursing Clinics
The practice nurse will undertake injections, dressings,
removal of sutures and general nursing care at this clinic.
Family Planning
Advice will be given during surgeries, post-natal and well
person clinics.
Child Development and Health
Surveillance Clinic
Child development checks will be carried out as and when
necessary by pre-arranged appointment at the surgery by the
doctor and health visitor.
Chronic Disease and Health Promotion
Clinics
Chronic disease management clinics are held by appointment
at both surgeries. The doctors and / or nurse will give you
advice on the maintenance of good health and well-being.

Asthma Clinic
Chronic Chest Clinic
Cardiovascular Clinic
Other clinics to be developed in the near future will include:
Hypertension Clinic and Counselling.
Please ask the receptionist for the dates and times of the
clinics and to arrange an appointment. The clinics have been
organized to deal with specific disorders and as time is very
limited, we would be grateful if you refrain from using them
as normal surgeries.
Investigations
During your consultation with the doctor your condition will
be assessed and you may require investigations or tests in
order to make an accurate diagnosis or as surveillance for
a pre-existing illness.

Results
The results will return to the practice but may take a week
or two to arrive, depending on the nature of the test and
the degree of urgency. You may either return to surgery for
the results following a request to do so or to telephone and
speak to the receptionist or doctor.
