The practice provides primary
medical services to over 7300 of our patients in the Penygroes
and Crosshands area and nearby villages.
The public has high expectations of the primary care team
and those expectations are rising as people become better
informed about their medical care. Our doctors
and staff are professionally competent and considerate and
respect the views and wishes of our patients all times.
The practice is committed to promoting good medical practice
and maintain their professional competence and standard of
performance. The practice works as a clinical team and we
are prepared to take joint as well as personal responsibility
for our own and our colleagues’ work.
As a subcontractor to the NHS the practice has closely followed
the requirements of clinical governance and when successful
this culture encourages all the practice team to aspire to
good standards of medical practice.
The practice has produced an up to date booklet called About
the Practice and this website elaborates on this booklet in
the various domains of the site.
Carers
We are a carer aware surgery and have information available to all carers. We can offer you information and signposting and offer you a referral if necessary. The definition of a carer is an individual who provides or supervises a substantial amount of care on a regular basis of a child, relative, partner or neighbour who is unable to manage on their own due to illness, disability, frailty, mental health distress or impairment. A carer can be a child looking after an older person or parent, or an older person looking after a disabled partner

Practice and Working
