The Penygroes Diabetic Support Group has been extremely successful in their fundraising activities over the last two years and have donated three blood pressure monitors to the practice for the use of our diabetic and cardiac patients.

Heart disease is a common finding among diabetic patients and the risk of developing blood pressure is higher in the diabetic patient group than the rest of the population. The outcome of non controlled blood pressure is premature heart disease and the increased risk of stroke.

These blood pressure monitors are the most used instruments in the practice and their value is immeasurable in the continuing care of our patients.

The practice greatly value the work of the diabetic support group in case finding and fund raising.
